UNEARTH A STORY
Dig into a summer of reading and discovery! This year’s dinosaur-themed challenge invites readers of all ages to explore new worlds, uncover hidden gems, and track their reading online with Beanstack.
Log your reading, earn digital badges, and complete fun activities all summer long. Every child and teen, ages 0–17, who registers for summer reading can visit their library to choose a new book to keep forever, while supplies last.
This reading challenge is for everyone—adults, families, teens, kids, and even babies.
Help us reach our community reading goal of 1 million minutes and unearth a story this summer!
Summer Reading books are provided courtesy of the Library Foundation of Spokane County and through generous community support.
READING REWARDS
240 minutes (4 hours): Youth ages 5–17 can claim a coupon for one free soccer ticket with the purchase of a ticket to a Spokane Velocity FC or Spokane Zephyr FC match.
450 minutes (7.5 hours): Youth ages 0–17 can claim one free admission to the Spokane County Interstate Fair, which is celebrating its 75th anniversary.
600 minutes (10 hours): Participants of all ages will be entered into the grand prize drawing and earn a Certificate of Achievement (plus serious bragging rights).

CHALLENGE ACTIVITIES
- Play a new game with family and friends
- Try a new hobby, or learn a new skill
- Explore Washington State Parks with our Discover Pass Backpack
- Read an eBook or audiobook using hoopla, the Libby app, or TumbleBook Library
- Check out a STEM kit to explore nature in your backyard, study the stars, or program a robot
- Visit a museum with a Family Museum Pass
- Spot LINC, our mobile library, in the community
