Online: Executive Director Gathering
from Nonprofit Association of Washington
About this event
The DEI Work Only Executive Leaders Can Do
Executive directors play a unique role in determining what an organization prioritizes, resources, communicates, and holds accountable. While DEI work should be shared across an organization, certain leadership responsibilities cannot be delegated to a committee, consultant, or individual staff member. This session will support executive leaders in clarifying what they must personally own and how they can create the conditions for shared leadership and lasting change.
In this session, we will:
• Clarify the executive director’s role in advancing organizational DEI commitments.
• Examine how leadership behaviors and decisions shape workplace culture.
• Identify what leaders should personally own, share, support, or delegate.
