Funded by the Climate Commitment Act, WAZIP is a $112 million program that helps businesses and fleet operators transition to zero-emission commercial vehicles through significant financial incentives. WAZIP vouchers are now available through approved dealers across the state. Nearly 200 different types of zero-emission trucks and equipment are eligible for the program. These include trucks, construction vehicles, agriculture machinery, airport loaders and tugs, commercial boats, forklifts, freight locomotives, refrigerated transportation units, freight-handling equipment, and charging/dispensing stations. At the WAZIP Eastern Washington Ride & Drive, you’ll have the opportunity to learn more about the program and also view and test drive some of the trucks and equipment that are eligible for voucher incentives under the program. Both on-road trucks and off-road equipment will be showcased at the event. Some of the vehicles that will be there are EV’s from Isuzu, Mack, Harbinger, Workhorse, Volvo, Kenworth, Bobcat and others.
