Business Brew

On May 1st, Robin Haynes joins Business Brew to discuss regulatory issues. These are concerns that Washington State businesses might not know about until it's too late, such as Accident Prevention Plans, volunteers, and when you really need a business license for your side gig.

Robin Haynes is the Executive Director of the Spokane Independent Metro Business Alliance ("SIMBA"). She's been advising small businesses for two decades (yikes), and her background is in compliance and regulatory matters. At SIMBA, she consults entrepreneurs, small businesses, and nonprofits throughout Eastern WA on topics such as licensing and permitting, employee rights and employer obligations, and government contracting. She jokes that she never has the "fun" meetings like marketing, only the necessary ones. She and her team offer a judgment-free approach to topics related to the "business of running your business" so you can focus on doing the things you truly care about. She prides herself on being a connector - if she doesn't have the answer, she'll know where to send you.
