About this event

Trying to make sense of Department of War CMMC requirements or running into roadblocks on your compliance journey?

Join the Washington APEX Accelerator for a monthly CMMC Roundtable designed to help businesses navigate the evolving Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) landscape.

This interactive discussion will include CMMC subject matter experts (SME) to discuss current requirements, implementation challenges, and practical approaches to achieving and maintaining compliance. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions, share experiences, discuss challenges, and learn from peers facing similar cybersecurity and compliance concerns.

October's SME is Totem Technologies
Adam Austin is the Co-Founder and President at Totem Tech, a minority veteran-owned Prime DoD contractor and small business cybersecurity compliance management tooling provider. Mr. Austin has 17+ years of experience securing classified, unclassified, and HIPAA-environment US Government IT systems, having worked with NASA, the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Systems (CMS), and all branches of the Department of Defense. Adam holds a BA in Physics from Western Maryland College and a Master's in Information Assurance from Capitol Technology University. He also holds the CISA and CISM culminating cybersecurity certifications and was a CMMC Registered Practitioner (CMMC-RP). Adam's mission is to leverage his experience to help small businesses in regulatory environments implement affordable, compliant, risk-based cybersecurity programs.

Whether your organization is just beginning its CMMC journey, working toward compliance, or preparing for an assessment, this forum provides a trusted space to connect with knowledgeable resources and gain practical insights.
