Originally created in 2012 by Greater Spokane Incorporated, StartUp Spokane has been a supportive liaison and creator for business events, resources, and networking within the Spokane community.
In January of 2023, Spokane Public Library received a grant from the Washington State Microenterprise Association and a sponsorship from Numerica Credit Union that allowed them to revitalize their business services and acquire the StartUp Spokane brand.
Spokane County Library District and Spokane Public Library have offered business services for over a decade and have noticed an overlap in their business customers and resources. As a result, we’ve partnered to offer easier access to our combined business services through the StartUp Spokane program.

Many people in the community don't realize that there are two separate library organizations within Spokane County, so we decided to join forces to offer streamlined access to the variety of business resources available.
Your eligibility for remote access to digital resources within StartUp Spokane depends on whether you are a Spokane Public Library customer or a Spokane County Library District customer. This is determined by where you live, own property, or where your business is located.
