Stonebraker Mcquary Insurance – Business Insurance & Risk Management
Max Kusske of Stonebraker Mcquary Insurance is part of the Startup Spokane Office Hours Program to help the regions entrepreneurs in two specific ways to help them set the foundation for business success.
The first is a free consultation is performing an initial risk analysis of the service or product that you as the startup are pursuing. This includes:
-Risk identification and categorization.
-Quantifying the risk related to exposure to the organization.
-Prioritizing the risks present.
-Ultimately building a plan to manage the risk be it through insurance, assumption or transference of risk.
The benefit of this to the entrepreneur is multi-faceted. First, it will substantiate those risks they have identified and potentially provide an alternative lens with regard to the management of the risk. Secondly, it will provide insight into those risks they had not identified and how those risks may ultimately affect their business. Max will work with you to develop a plan moving forward, often times a process which is overlooked due to the time resource required to do so. The plan can be utilized in day to day operations, presenting to your current carrier for potential rate reductions or to be included in a business plan for a loan.
The second offering that Mr. Kusske can work with entrepreneurs on is to better understand their business insurance through an “Insurance 101” consultation. This includes:
Most successful business owners are aware of the need and importance of insurance. The reality however is most business owners don’t have the inclination to really understand what insurance represents nor the time to do so. What I would like to provide is a resource for entrepreneurs to discuss what types of insurance are going to be necessary for their business, the potential costs, and why each classification is important. This will include researching similar businesses which are currently in the market and how they have been insured or underinsured. These general types of resources are not readily available to a business unless you have already written your insurance with an agent, at that point you are relying on that agent to be competent in insuring your business. Again, this is something I would like to provide free of charge.
